Lady Gaga, Adele, Chris Brown to perform at VMAs

(CBS) As expected, the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards will feature a handful of performances by chart-topping artists, and Lady Gaga is one of them.

The pop star, who is up for four Moonmen including Best Female Video for "Born This Way," is part of a lineup that includes British singer Adele and Chris Brown, MTV announced Wednesday.

Rapper Lil Wayne, Bruno Mars and the band Young the Giant are also set to perform at this year's award show, which will air live from Los Angeles on Sunday, Aug. 28 at 9 p.m.

Seth Rogen, Kim Kardashian, Jonah Hill, Selena Gomez and Rick Ross will be among the night's presenters.

The network will announce more performers and presenters nearer the time. As of yet, there's no host.
