L-1 Completes Acquisition Of Digimarc's Identity Business

You can stop holding your breath: L-1 has successfully completed its acquisition of Digimarc's (NSDQ: DMRC) identity business. The deal was first announced back in March, although in June, Digimarc received a higher offer from French firm Safran. L-1, obviously, ultimately won out. With the deal's completion, Digimarc's remaining digital watermarking business will be spun back to shareholders in the form of a new firm also called Digimarc Corp. Release.
