K.J. Joins NBC Team

Kevin Johnson, a star guard who played 12 seasons in the NBA, joined NBC's pregame show for next season.

He replaces Isiah Thomas, the new coach of the Indiana Pacers, and will team with Hannah Storm and Peter Vecsey on "NBA Showtime," the network said Tuesday.

Johnson, who spent most of his career as a point guard for the Phoenix Suns, was a guest analyst for NBC on two playoff games last season.

One was a Western Conference finals game between Los Angeles and Portland and the other an Eastern Conference finals contest between New York and Indiana.
