Kira's body was found in the Mississippi River last week. Police said Kira and her husband were at the Mall of America, her place of work, on Feb. 21 having dinner - and that was the last time Kira was seen alive.

According to the station, police say, Kira had exchanged numerous text messages with another man who was on his way to Colorado on the day she disappeared. At the time of the text messages, the man was reportedly in South Dakota.

Police say, based on those text messages, it is evident that Kira and this other man had engaged in a romantic relationship.

Jeffery Trevino was charged with two counts of second-degree murder on Feb. 28 after large amounts of his wife's blood were found in the couple's home.

His trial is scheduled to being on May 28.
