(CBS) PALM BEACH SHORES, Fla. -  Kimberly Kiernan, a  39-year-old mother of two children in Florida, was arrested Monday after allegedly hosting a party at her waterfront apartment where 26 minors drank alcohol, reports CBS affiliate WPEC.

According to the station,  Kiernan locked her 7-year-old son in a room while she partied with her 17-year-old son and his friends.

Police said paramedics also had to rush a 16-year-old girl to the hospital after finding her choking on her own vomit in the bathroom.

WPEC reports that the property manager told police there have been problems with the mother and parties in the past.

When police showed up to the apartment, they reportedly had to break the door to get in. Kiernan was found hiding under a pile of clothes in a closet, according to reports. Police say Kiernan was so intoxicated that she could not stand without leaning on the door. Authorities also found two 50-gallon trash bags filled with liquor and beer bottles.

WPEC says that Kiernan has been charged with 26 counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, child abuse and resisting arrest.
