(CBS) Kim Novak, star of the 1958 film classic "Vertigo," is undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

The 77-year-old actress learned she had the disease after a routine annual mammogram, her manager, Sue Cameron, told the Hollywood Reporter. The cancer reportedly was caught early.

"All her doctors say she is in fantastic physical shape and should recover very well," Cameron told the magazine, adding that Novak stays fit by working out with a trainer three times a week and riding horses daily.

Novak also had big roles in "Pal Joey," "Picnic," and other movies and appeared on the 1980s TV drama "Falcon Crest." According to the Los Angeles Times, she now lives with her husband in Oregon, where she raises llamas.
