Keys to Living Longer, Better
None of us can control how long or well we live, but we can all take steps to try to live as long and well as possible.
And "The Early Show Saturday Edition" will spend its entire broadcast showcasing those steps on Nov. 14, in "Secrets For a Longer Life."
The special program will showcase ways to enhance our lives physically, mentally, financially and spiritually.
"Secrets For a Longer Life" will include an interview with Deepak Chopra, world-renowned authority in the fields of alternative medicine and mind-dody healing and author of more than 50 books, including 14 bestsellers on mind-body health, quantum mechanics, spirituality and peace. In addition, the show's "Second Cup Café" will present Grammy-Award winning jazz singer/songwriter Jon Secada, who will perform the classic "What A Wonderful World," off of his new CD "Expressions: The Jazz Album."
The broadcast will also have world-famous explorer Dan Buettner, who will share key factors for longevity he uncovered from five healthy communities around the world; fitness expert Sarah Robichaud, who will demonstrate ancient Tibetan exercises that help promote longevity, health and vitality; and Food & Wine magazine's Gail Simmons, the broadcast's "Chef on a Shoestring," who will show how to prepare a meal for a longer life.
"The Early Show Saturday Edition" will also take a look at retirement savings, suggesting ways to add to grow them over time.
And Health magazin'es Frances Largeman-Roth will spotlight small lifestyle changes you can make that would improve your overall health.
