NEW YORK (CBS) Kendra Wilkinson, former Playboy Playmate, has never been known to shy away from the cameras - and even the apparent embarrassment of a sex tape isn't going to change that.

Wilkinson's lawyers sent a "cease and desist" letter to Vivid Entertainment, who apparently bought the tape featuring Hugh Hefner's former "girlfriend" and another man, to prevent the company's anticipated public release of the tape, called "Kendra Exposed," at the end of May.

The Playmate's lawyers call the purchase and release a "gross violation of Miss Wilkinson's constitutional and common law rights of privacy," according to the letter obtained by RadarOnline.com.

Despite Wilkinson's obvious distress about the tape, which was made sometime before she began dating her now-husband Hank Baskett and does not include the NFL wide receiver, she has decided to feature her current, and presumably ongoing, fight against the tape's release on her reality show "Kendra," according to RadarOnline.com.

But the decision shouldn't surprise the fans who saw her rise to fame as one of Hugh Hefner's girlfriends in the E! reality show "The Girls Next Door" and then was able to stay in the limelight after her "break-up" with her spin-off show "Kendra."

But all is not legal entanglements and bummers in Wilkinson world: she was recently name one of People magazine's 100 Most Beautiful People and just returned from a romantic vacation in Hawaii with Baskett.
