Keep Your Gmail in Sync with IMAP Access

gmail-imap.jpgInternet Message Access Protocol, or IMAP, is a wonderful thing. It provides immediate two-way synchronization between your mail server and one or more mail clients (Outlook, Apple Mail, your mobile phone, or whatever). Any changes made in one location are automatically reflected everywhere else. So, for instance, if you compose and send a few new messages on your phone, you'll see them in the Sent Items folder the next time you run Outlook.

Gmail just added IMAP to its already robust e-mail service. Everything you do via the Web interface is reflected in other locations (including the iPhone), and vice versa. You can find out more about this awesome feature at the Official Gmail Blog. Image courtesy of Official Gmail Blog. [via InformationWeek]
