Keep Google Contacts in Sync with Your Cell Phone

goosync.jpg
Fans of GooSync, the service that syncs Google Calendar with your phone's built-in calendar, have long pined for the addition of contact synchronization. The wait is over: GooSync now offers a complete contact manager that can sync with your cell. The deets:

  • Full on-line GooSync contact manager, accessible from within your GooSync account.
  • Two-way synchronization between your device and GooSync Contacts.
  • Backup and restore: Your phone's address book effectively stays backed up in GooSync, and could easily be restored to a new phone if your old one breaks or goes missing.
  • Import/export between GooSync Contacts and Google Contacts (or any other contacts database, such as Outlook.)
If you've been enjoying the free version of GooSync, get ready to pony up: Contact sync requires a subscription to GooSync Premium, which costs $39.95 per year. Of course, if you want similar functionality free of charge, there's always Zyb. It doesn't integrate with Google, but it does offer contact and calendar synchronization with the Web.
