Katie Holmes, Annette Bening honored by Women in Film
(CBS/AP) BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - Actresses Annette Bening, and Katie Holmes were among five women honored as leaders in their fields Thursday night by Women in Film.
The nonprofit group honored the women at its annual Crystal and Lucy awards ceremony in Beverly Hills. The other honorees were, CBS President Nina Tassler, director Pamela Fryman and cinematographer Reed Morano.

In accepting her award, Bening said she is "entering into a new phase" and "beginning again" and hinted at some interesting projects in the coming year.
The 32-year-old Holmes thanked her parents, who were in the audience, and husband Tom Cruise, "whose commitment to his work and family inspires me daily."
Elizabeth Taylor's granddaughter Naomi Wilding accepted a humanitarian award on behalf of the late actress. The evening was dedicated to Laura Ziskin, the "Spider Man" producer and Stand Up To Cancer co-founder who died this week of breast cancer.
"Bridesmaids" star Melissa McCarthy sang and danced as host of the evening. Martin Sheen, Geena Davis, Elle Fanning, Neil Patrick Harris and Jenna Elfman were among the stars who attended.
