(CBS) You may remember Katharine McPhee as the "American Idol" runner-up in 2007 (she lost - somehow - to Taylor Hicks). You perhaps also remember her from her moderately successful post-"Idol" singing career.

She stopped by direct competitor "The Voice" to talk about her upcoming television series, "Smash," a musical drama co-starring Debra Messing. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show will lead in to "The Voice" Mondays this winter.
