(CBS) Anne Hathaway says she'd be willing to play Kate Middleton on the big screen.

The Oscar-nominee, who put on a British accent for her film "One Day," said she'd use the skill again to portray the Duchess of Cambridge.

"I haven't really thought about it before but yes, why not," she told The Sun at the "One Day" premiere at London's Westfield Shopping Center. "She's great. It's such a fairytale."

"One Day," starring Hathaway and Jim Sturgess, opened in theaters on Aug. 19. It's based on the popular novel of the same name.

Prince William and Kate's romance has gotten the made-for-TV-movie treatment twice - Lifetime's "William & Kate" aired in April, and Hallmark Channel' "William & Catherine: A Royal Romance," premieres on Saturday. So far, no major motion picture about the couple has been announced.
