Kansas Farm Killings Update: Body of Lana Leigh Bailey, 18-month-old child, believed to have been found, police say
(CBS/AP) OTTAWA, Kan. - Police in Franklin County, Kan., say they have located a body they believe is that of 18-month-old girl Lana Leigh Bailey, whose parents were among three people found slain on an eastern Kansas farm last week.
Twenty-seven-year-old Kyle Flack has been charged with capital murder and first-degree murder and is being held on $10 million bond, officials say. He has been charged in the deaths of 18-month-old Lana Leigh Bailey, the child's mother, 21-year-old Kaylie Bailey, the child's father, 30-year-old Andrew Stout, and Stout's roommate, 31 year-old Steven White.
Flack was picked up for questioning early Wednesday in Emporia, where officers found the car that Kaylie Bailey had been driving when she was last seen.
A body that was believed to be the toddler's was found over the weekend, and authorities are working to positively identify it. The adults' bodies were found earlier in the week.
Authorities have been reluctant to discuss details of the case, and on Sunday, Sheriff Jeff Richards declined to say where or how the girl's body was found.
According to CBS affiliate KWCH, investigators are still searching for a motive.
Flack is set to appear in court Monday afternoon.
