Judge Denies Stevens' Dismissal Motion

Ted Stevens can't go home to campaign in Alaska quite yet.

Judge Emmet Sullivan has denied his motion to have the case dismissed, and also denied a motion to have a mistrial declared.

Prosecutors disclosed this morning that they hadn't given defense lawyers exculpatory information from an FBI interview with Bill Allen, the Justice Department's star witness in the case, which is why Stevens attorneys asked for a dismissal hearing this afternoon.

The trial will continue now, but the judge is not happy with the prosecution.

The Crypt will update with details from inside the courtroom.
