Josh Brent, Dallas Cowboys football player accused of manslaughter, tests positive for marijuana, police say
(CBS) DALLAS -- About six months after Dallas Cowboys player Josh Brent was arrested on charges of intoxication manslaughter for the one-car crash that killed his teammate, Jerry Brown, he has allegedly tested positive for marijuana, reported CBS Dallas Fort Worth.

According to the station, at Brent's most recent bond hearing, the defendant provided a urine sample on May 24, which authorities tested for alcohol and drugs. The results showed that Brent had used marijuana within 30 days of the test.
One of the conditions of his bond was that Brent could not use alcohol or drugs. The test was negative for alcohol use, said CBS DFW.
The station reported that prosecutors have filed court documents to revoke Brent's $100,000 bond because they believe he is a danger to society.

If the judge does revoke bond, the Cowboys defensive lineman will be jailed until his trial for the intoxication manslaughter charge starts, said CBS DFW.
Prosecutors said that this is not the first time Brent has violated the conditions of his bond. His alcohol monitor, which tests for alcohol use every 30 minutes, has allegedly produced irregular readings several times, according to court documents, said the station.
Official documents also reveal that Brent has failed to show up at a couple of bond supervision appointments, said CBS DFW.
The station reported that on December 8, 2012, Brent flipped his 2007 Mercedes Benz as he was driving it drunk, speeding and weaving through lanes, according to accident investigators.
Brown was a passenger in the car and died on the scene, said CBS DFW
