John Oliver: Trump is "magnitudes worse" than Clinton when it comes to scandals

That’s a lot of raisins.

“Last Week Tonight” host John Oliver spent more than 20 minutes breaking down the various scandals plaguing the campaigns of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, and he came to one very strongly worded conclusion.

According to Oliver, it is ridiculous to suggest that the levels of scandal for each candidate are anywhere near equivalent, as Trump is “magnitudes worse” than Clinton in that regard.

“This campaign has been dominated by scandals, but it is dangerous to think that there is an equal number on both sides,” he said. “And you can be irritated by some of Hillary’s -- that is understandable -- but you should then be f**king outraged by Trump’s.”

“He is ethically compromised to an almost unprecedented degree.”

After providing in-depth analysis on both Clinton’s and Trump’s most high-profile scandals, Oliver employed a rather unique visual aid to explain the differences between the two.

“Ethical failings in a politician are like raisins in a cookie,” he said. “They shouldn’t be there. They disgust people. But most politicians have at least a few raisins.”

He then presented Clinton as a single cookie with perhaps more raisins than normal, while for Trump he had an avalanche of raisins rain down from the studio’s ceiling, covering his desk. “The man is a f**king raisin monsoon,” he warned.
