Jim Spanarkel
This is Jim Spanarkel's first year as an analyst for CBS Sports' tournament coverage. Spanarkel has called regular season men's games for the CBS Network and also serves as an analyst for New Jersey Nets television broadcasts.
Spanarkel has also broadcast college games for SportsChannel America and Big East Network, and high school games for New Jersey Network. He also serves as assistant Vice President at Merrill Lynch.
Selected by the Philadelphia 76ers with the 16th pick overall in the 1979 draft, after one year in Philadelphia he moved to the Dallas Mavericks for four seasons.
A former All-America at Duke University (1978, 79), Spanarkel is a 1979 graduate of Duke University.
He was born June 28, 1957 in Jersey City, N.J and lives in Rutherford, N.J., with his wife and four children.
