(CBS News) Jessica Lange will be back for "American Horror Story's" second season, but she will not be returning as the incredibly interesting-yet-creepy Constance Langdon.

Lange, who won a Golden Globe and SAG award for her role on the show, will play an entirely new character, the show's creator told  Entertainment Weekly.

"We are designing this amazing new opposite of the Constance character for her," said Ryan Murphy to EW. "She and I have spoken about different things. She has a lot of ideas, and has a lot of input into her character."

Lange, who has two Oscars and an Emmy, will not be the only character to return to the show for its second season, Murphy says he signed on three more actors from season one, but he won't reveal their names until Friday at the annual PaleyFest in Beverly Hills.

The only other detail Murphy provided about the new season is its change of location - season two will take place on the East Coast, according to EW.
