The fourth season premiere of "Jersey Shore" was MTV's "most-watched opener to date," reports The Hollywood Reporter. A total of 8.8 million people turned in to watch the cast act stupidly everywhere it goes.
It was a big episode, viewer-wise, but the most watched episode of the show had about 100,000 people watching, averaging 8.9 million viewers for a Jan. 20, 2011, show. (Snooki was released from jail in that one.)
