Jerry Seinfeld first guest host to follow Regis Philbin

(CBS/AP) Regis Philbin will officially end his hosting duties on "Live! With Regis & Kelly" on Nov. 18 and who's the lucky person to fill his chair? Jerry Seinfeld, at least for now. 

The popular weekday talk show announced that Seinfeld will join continuing co-host Kelly Ripa for three days, airing Nov. 21-23.

The show said Tuesday that guests scheduled to join Ripa and Seinfeld include actor Jason Segal, actress Kim Cattrall, comedian-host Howie Mandel, "Naked Chef" Jamie Oliver and Muppet, Miss Piggy.

Philbin is leaving the show after 28 years as its host. There are no plans to immediately announce a permanent successor, though people are speculating that it could in fact be interim host, Seinfeld.

The soon-to-be-renamed "Live! with Kelly" will continue to air in most cities at 9 a.m. Eastern time.
