(CBS)  Jennifer Lopez is widely expected to be named  an "American Idol" judge on Wednesday..

And  the  41-year-old singer's  ex-husband, Ojani Noa, is planning to be a contestant at the show's first audition in Los Angeles. How's that for awkward?

Noa's manager Ed Meyer confirmed to E! News that not only will Noa be in line outside the Forum on Sept. 22, but,  to make situation even more awkward for everyone, he also plans to perform a Jennifer Lopez song..

"He escaped Cuba and married Jennifer Lopez, now he wants to be the American Idol," Meyer told the entertainment news site. "Of course, he will sing a Jennifer Lopez song."

Lopez can only hope  that 36-year-old Noa will be barred from the competition because he exceeds the show's age limit by 8 years.

Unfortunately, no one stopped General Larry Platt, 64, from performing on the ninth season of Fox's reality show. He  went on to release his hit single "Pants on the Ground," proving success comes in many different forms.

To add to the turmoil, the "Love Don't Cost a Thing" singer and her ex-husband are engaged in a nasty legal battle which has been building ever since she hired and then fired him as a chef at her restaurant venture Madres, reports The Sydney Morning Herald.

Again, Lopez who is now married to singer-songwriter Marc Anthony, is only rumored to be joining "American Idol" for a reported $12 million. But wouldn't this publicly anticipated and scandalous reunion be good for ratings?.
