Jennifer Lopez and her close pal Leah Remini had a close call over the weekend.

The two stars and longtime friends were involved in a traffic collision Saturday evening.

"Sitting at a light, riding high right before some drunk fool rear ended us in my new whip," Lopez wrote on Instagram.

The Bronx, New York, native used several colorful hashtags to recount the accident, including #cursedthatfoolout and #theBronxcameout.

Lopez also indicated that Remini stayed surprisingly calm during the ordeal.

The Instagram post came with a selfie Lopez took inside her new SUV shortly before the crash. Remini can be seen in the driver's seat:

Police told E! News that the accident occurred on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California, and that Lopez's children, Max and Emme, were in the backseat during the collision, but no one was injured. Remini was driving the vehicle at the time.

The male driver sped off from the scene shortly after the crash but was later pulled over and arrested a few miles away on suspicion of hit-and-run and driving under the influence. He has not been publicly identified.
