Jennifer Lopez: I might adopt a child
Jennifer Lopez may already have two children, but is the possibility of adoption on her horizon?
The iconic singer sat down with ET's Kevin Frazier on Tuesday, after an eventful week, to discuss her possible adoption plans, and her reaction to controversy surrounding her recent music video for the single 'Booty'.
"You said that maybe one day you would adopt a child?" Frazier asked Lopez, referring to her past comments in recent interviews. Lopez is also the executive producer of "The Fosters," an ABC Family drama series about two mothers and their biological, fostered and adopted kids.
Lopez laughed, and shrugged off the adoption question without denying it, saying, "I might. I don't know. You never know. With me, there's one thing you know: It's that you never know. We'll see, I don't know."
When asked about the success of "The Fosters," Lopez said, "It makes me feel great. The showrunners continue to push the envelope and really mirror life and society right now and all the different things going on -- what children have to deal with, what teenagers have to deal with, what moms have to deal with ... There's all different kinds of people, all different colors, all different beliefs, ways of living, ways of loving, and it's all okay. It's one of prides and joys to even be associated with it in any way, shape or form, because at the end of the day love is love. That's what it comes down to and there's nothing ever wrong with that."
As for the controversy surrounding her song with Iggy Azalea, Lopez dismissed the accusations that the video went too far or was too sexual, and explained why she chose to do the music video in the first place.
"I refuse to be put in a box in that way," Lopez said. "Why, because I'm over 40? So I can't be sexy? Or, is it because I'm a mom? Moms aren't allowed to be sexy. Uh, how did I get my kids in the first place?"
Amd aside from this video, J Lo has proven recently that she's still got what it takes to look sexy in the world of curvaceous performers.
