Jennifer Hudson Family Murder Trial: Jury deliberates for third day
(CBS/AP) CHICAGO - Jurors enter a third day of deliberations in the Chicago trial of William Balfour, the man accused of slaying Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew.
In order to avoid seeing news on the case, jurors have been sequestered at a hotel over-night while they deliberate. During the two-week trial, prosecuters called 83 witnesses and presented boxes of evidence, from maps to the .45-caliber handgun allegedly used in the slayings.
Some legal observers argue that the longer jurors deliberate the better for the defense, although this is not always the case.
