The 33-year-old sold his first novel, "Actors Anonymous," to Amazon Publishing, the New York Observer reports.

The novel is said to be a fictionalized version of his life as an actor. The book was acquired by Amazon's fiction editor Ed Park, according to the paper.

Though, "Actors Anonymous" is Franco's first novel, it is not his first published work. In June,  Scribner  published a collection of Franco's short stories in a volume  called "Palo Alto."

Franco is currently filming "Lovelace," a biopic about porn star Linda Lovelace, in which he plays Hugh Hefner.
