Police say this man, Deuene Hickman, tried to break in to Pennsylvania's Allegheny County Jail. Not surprisingly, he got caught. CBS Pittsburgh

(CBS) PITTSBURGH - There had never been a break-in at the Allegheny County Jail, until last Thursday.

Go back and read that sentence again if you have to. After all, you don't hear about all that many jail break-ins.

According to CBS Pittsburgh, The incident happened at the employee entrance of the western Pa. jail, about 10 p.m. Thursday.

Police say 73-year-old Deuene Hickman of Pittsburgh - who, they also say, was clearly intoxicated - tried to break in at the employee entrance to the jail, and that he tried to follow a nurse as she came to work.

The incident report describes police officers were "dispatched by county communications to the Allegheny County Jail for a male who was breaking into the jail."

"...Where did he think he was going to go when he got into the jail?," asked Daiah Hunter, who was there visiting a friend when she heard about the break-in.

Odd and comical as the situation might sound, police weren't laughing. They said suspect, Hickman, had two knives in his pants when he was arrested, and that he tried to attack a police sergeant.

As a result of this reverse "jail break," Hickam faces charges including aggravated assault, criminal trespass and public drunkenness.
