Jackson's Derm Doc Dad Of 2 Of His Kids?

Michael Jackson's longtime dermatologist and close friend, Arnie Klein, is the father of two of Jackson's three children, according to investigative reporter Diane Dimond.

Celebrity Web site TMZ.com says police want to talk to Klein, who has prescribed drugs for Jackson, reports CBS News correspondent Ben Tracy. Klein's attorney says Klein won't comment, citing patient confidentiality.

"There is a long history between Michael Jackson and Arnie Klein," TMZ's Harvey Levin told CBS News. "He has been his dermatologist for several decades. They were extremely close."

Levin says Jackson didn't father any of his three children, and Dimond, who broke the news of the child molestation charges against Jackson in 1993 and has covered him ever since, concurs.

"It was sort of an open secret among a small cadre of people close to (Jackson)," Dimond told "Early Show" co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez Wednesday, "and some of those people were my sources, have been for a long time."

Dimond says she is "absolutely" convinced Klein is the biological father of two of the Jackson children. "If you look at the older child and put it next to (Klain's) face, to me, they look so similar."

She added that Klein is "a prominent Beverly Hills dermatologist, has a lot of stars, has a lot of regular people as his clients. He is very well-liked. He is very active in AIDS charity. You know, all-around nice guy. Nobody has anything bad to say about Arnie Klein. The only thing I would say is he would do anything for Michael Jackson.

"That's one reason the police want to talk to him, or may have already talked to him, about all the prescriptions he has written for Michael Jackson over the years -- or has gotten other doctors to write for Michael."

The Mickey Fine Pharmacy, in the same building as Klein's office, sued Jackson for an unpaid, $100,000 drug tab, Tracy says.

Dimond told Rodriguez, "At one time, Michael Jackson was getting $48,000 a month of prescriptions through that place. ... I know from police detectives and from the trial that many vials of narcotic drugs and prescription pills were taken from his nightstand (that were) under other people's names. And I think this is maybe how it worked. Lots of different names, all charged to Michael Jackson's account. At one point, the pharmacy wasn't being paid so they sued Michael Jackson for (that) $100,000 unpaid bill.

Klein's office is also where Jackson met his ex-wife, Debbie Rowe, Tracy adds.

"Debbie Rowe worked for Arnold Klein before she married Michael Jackson," Levin told CBS News.

Rowe gave birth to Jackson's two oldest children, but gave up custody after they divorced.

Jackson's third child, known as "Blanket," was conceived with a surrogate.

Roger Friedman, of the Web site Showbiz.com, says, "As far as the third child, 'Bblanket' goes, that child, Michael discussed. It was his sperm, and he had a surrogate carry the child."

Levin and Dimond disagree.

Levin and TMZ.com also claim Rowe wasn't the biological mother, and was implanted, and carried the babies to term. That, says Tracy, could complicate her case if Rowe decides to seek custody.
