"It's Always Sunny" Stars Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney Welcome a Baby Boy

NEW YORK (CBS) It's a boy for "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" stars Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney.

The couple welcomed their first child, son Axel Lee McElhenney at their Los Angeles area home Wednesday. He weighed in at 8 pounds, 7 ounces.

In a statement to People magazine on Thursday, Olson said she went into labor at the Dodgers-Phillies game Tuesday night in L.A.

"As soon as Ryan Howard hit a 3 run home run, we felt comfortable leaving to go have our baby," Olson said. "We love him like crazy, even though he made us miss the second half of the game."

Olson, 35, and McElhenney, 32, married in Sept. 2008. The pregnancy was announced in March.

McElhenney, is the creator-producer of FX's "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and stars in the sitcom with Olson.

The two will soon return to the small screen when the sixth season of "Always Sunny" premieres on FX on Sept. 16.
