Islamic Jihad, Hamas Claim Credit For Tolkarm Attack
Al Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, and Izzedin al Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas released a joint statement claiming responsibility for the "Netsani Oz" operation, in the Industrial Zone, Western Tolkarm earlier today.
The statement explained that the perpetrator of the attack managed to cross into the town of Qulsunwa, disguised as a woman before changing into a Palestinian worker's uniform and heading towards the Industrial zone around 7:17 a.m. Once on site, he opened fire on the Israeli guards, killing two of them. He then came under fire by more security guards and was therefore forced to withdraw. He sustained minor wounds, but managed to escape safely, according to the statement.
The statement dedicated the operation to the people of Gaza and said it was a confirmation of both groups' rejection of a partial ceasefire with Israel.
