(CBS/AP) PATERSON, N.J. - Authorities have charged three men with killing northern New Jersey teen Isaac Rinas, who was gunned down hours after his high school graduation.

Police say the 18-year-old, from Wayne, N.J., went to Paterson to buy a gun with his friend Casey Cole.  Authorities say Cole and 24-year-old Bishma Cowan set up Rinas for a robbery.

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes says Rinas handed over $350, stepped out of his car and was shot in the neck by 27-year-old Quashon Faircloth.

According to CBS New York, Cole set up the robbery because he allegedly owed money to drug dealers.

The station reports that prosecutors said they don't believe murdering Rinas was part of the original plan.

Cole is a former Wayne Valley High School classmate of Rinas. He's charged with felony murder, robbery and conspiracy to commit a robbery.

Faircloth is charged with murder, felony murder, robbery and weapons offenses. Cowan is also charged with felony murder and robbery.
