Is iPad selfie the face of an iPad burglar?

LOVELAND, Colo. - Police are investigating whether a man who apparently snapped a selfie with an iPad reported stolen from a Colorado gymnastics studio played a role in stealing said iPad.

A picture of the dark-haired, bearded man with a cigarette clamped in his mouth appeared Saturday in Premier Gymnastics' iCloud account, its collection of data stored on remote servers and available online.

After police in Loveland released the photo and asked the public for help finding him, Lt. Rick Arnold said Monday that investigators have identified him. Police said they weren't releasing his name because it's unclear whether he has any connection with the March 1 burglary.

CBS Denver reports the iPad was one of several items stolen from the gymnastics studio.

In California, a selfie found on a phone at a church that had been burglarized last month recently helped lead police to a suspect.
