Insurgent Group Claims Christians Joining Its Ranks

An Iraqi insurgent group led by Saddam Husseinʼs former vice president Izzat Ibrahim al Doury, claimed in an Internet statement today that 11 Iraqi resistance factions, including some Christian groups, have joined its ranks. The spokesperson for the Supreme Command for Jihad and Liberation (SCJL ) Kanaan Amin, who issued the statement, also claimed the groupʼs leadership was currently examining requests by other groups wishing to join the SCJL.
