Industry Moves: Alpha Media; Variety; ExpoTV; NGTI

-- Alpha Media Group: Matt Kaplan has joined Alpha Media Group's Maxim Digital as VP of digital sales, where he will oversee digital sales and marketing and mobile properties for its websites, Maxim.com, Blender.com and Stuffmagazine.com. Kaplan comes from Hearst Magazine Digital Media where he was sales director.

-- PointRoll: Dea Lawrence has resigned from her post as VP-sales of Variety Online Group and accepted the position of regional VP-West Coast for Gannett-owned PointRoll.

-- ExpoTV: ExpoTV has appointed David Rubinstein as VP of media sales, where he will be responsible for all interactive media, sponsorship and cable video on demand sales for the video-based social commerce network. Most recently, Rubinstein was a senior director at Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO), where he supervised advertiser relations.

-- National Geographic Television International: Maurice van Sabben has been named president of NGTI, reporting to COO of National Geographic Ventures Edward Price, according to Animation Magazine. Van Sabben will be responsible for international digital business and factual and kids' program sales business, working closely with National Geographic Television. He comes from IMG Media's Sports News Television, where he was commercial director.
