(CBS) Now that it's certain that the wedding is off between Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner and his 25-year-old bride-that-wasn't-to-be Crystal Harris, it's time to  get rid of those unhappy reminders of the special day. And, it seems Harris is starting with the engagement ring.

The ring, a 3.39 carat platinum stunner estimated to be worth $90,000, is expected to go for a bargain price of $20,000 to $30,000 during an auction at Christie's in New York.

Sources close to Harris told TMZ  Hefner's former fiancee is parting with the rock because she "couldn't bear to look at the ring anymore because it brought back bad memories."

Harris reportedly tried to return the ring, along with a Bentley that Hefner had gotten her,  back in June when  she  dumped him just days  before  their  wedding.. Although he refused to take those gifts back, Hefner opened the Playboy mansion's doors for the ex-couple's King Charles Cavalier, Charlie.

"Crystal brought Charlie back because she thinks he's happier here & I appreciate it, because I really missed him," Hefner tweeted.
