Howie Mandel Launches New Show

Howie Mandel has joined the daytime TV yack-pack.

The stand-up comedian launched his own syndicated talk-variety show Monday.

The celebrity-guest lineup this week includes Paul Reiser, Ted Danson, Dennis Miller, Tyra Banks, R&B sensation Usher, Arsenio Hall and Jennifer Aniston.

Mandel landed his new gig after a guest-hosting stint last year on Live With Regis & Kathie Lee.

Mandel is known for his off-beat brand of comedy, but he's doing a traditional talk show, in a traditional setting.

"We're not going to have too many weird bells and whistles on this show. I have a desk; I have a band, and now it's up to me and this (production) team to make it work," Mandel told Variety.
