How to Use Gmail for Online Storage

gmail-drive.jpgAs you may have read in the Wall Street Journal earlier this week, Google may start offering free Web-based storage in the near future. Of course, savvy users have long been leveraging Gmail for exactly that purpose. Wait a sec -- how can you use an e-mail service for data storage?! Webware's got the scoop on two utilities that make it possible: Gspace and Gmail Drive. The former is a Firefox extension; the latter works within Windows Explorer to provide more traditional drag-and-drop file management. Both programs leverage the 5GB of free storage you get with your Gmail account.
