How to Send Large Files From Outlook, Acrobat, Office, or Your Desktop

Longtime Business Hacks favorite YouSendIt lets you send files that are too large to e-mail. Thanks to new plug-ins for Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office (2003 and 2007), you can now tap the service directly from within those applications -- no trip to the Web required. These join an existing YouSendIt plug-in for Outlook (again, 2003 and 2007) and a YouSendIt desktop application for drag-and-drop sending. (The latter's available for both Windows and Mac -- nice.)

Traditionally, using YouSendIt required you to visit the site, complete a routing form, and wait around while your file(s) uploaded. With the desktop app or any of the plug-ins, you get to bypass your browser entirely (and enjoy a 25-percent . They also promise 25-percent faster uploads.

Amazingly, these extras are available to any registered users, even those who stick with the free Lite version of YouSendIt. Now I'm really torn between this and Drop.io, another terrific service for sharing big files. Which one do you like best? (Or do you have a write-in candidate?) [via Web Worker Daily]
