One upside to the recent stock market slide is that interest rates have dropped, which means now is a terrific time to either re-finance an existing mortgage or purchase a new home with a shiny, low interest-rate loan. Yes, you still need very good credit to qualify, but if that's not a problem, it's time to get busy!
