House Judiciary To Vote On Comey Subpoena

The House Judiciary Committee will meet next week to consider a subpoena for James Comey, the former deputy attorney general who left the Justice Department in 2005 to become the general counsel for Lockheed Martin.

The Judiciary subcommittee on Commercial and Administrative Law will meet next Tuesday to consider the subpoena, according to a scheduling update from the committee.

Comey is scheduled to testfiy before the Commercial and Administrative Law subcommittee of House Judiciary on Thursday.

This announcement comes one day after the committee authorized a subpoena to Monica Goodling, a former top counsel to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. As part of its subpoena, the committee also granted Goodling immunity from further prosecution for anything she says before the panel.
