(CBS) Actress and singer Hilary Duff announced during her Oct. 14, 2011 appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that she's having a boy.

"I haven't told anyone yet. I wanted to tell you first. I just found out," Duff told DeGeneres. "It's a boy! I had a feeling it was a boy the whole time."

This will be the first child for the 24-year-old. She had previously told the press that she thought the baby would be a boy.

Duff said she's about four moths along, although she constantly thought she was pregnant throughout her marriage to NFL player Mike Comrie, according to Us Magazine. "My husband makes this joke that I think I'm pregnant like 12 times a year," Duff said.

Duff revealed on the show that she broke the news to Comrie while he was in the shower. "I just ran in and he was in the shower and I just held up the test and I was like, 'Oh my god,'" she said to DeGeneres.
