Hero Toddler Saves Dad After Collapse

A toddler in Manteca, Calif. proves you can never be too young to be a hero.

On Friday, 3-year-old Alesaundra Tafoya saw her father had collapsed in their home. So, she did what she was always taught. She walked two blocks to the fire station and got help, CBS News correspondent Jeff Glor reported.

One firefighter told CBS News, "I've been here over 20 years. That's the first time I ever had a 3-year-old walk up to the fire station."

Tafoya led the firemen to her house where they found her father, who had taken the wrong medication. Doctors say without quick medical care he would have died. The firemen plan to give her a hero's commendation.
