Heidi Gives Women A Lift

Ubermodel Heidi Klum created a stir at Victoria's Secret in New York City Thursday when she personally distributed a new shipment of the sold-out Natural Liquid Miracle Bra.

Heidi arrived by jumping out of a big truck with her picture plastered all over its sides, as the crowd struggled to get the best view.

Hundreds anxiously watched as boxes of the Liquid Miracle Bra were lifted from the truck into the Fifth Avenue shop. The crowd caused such a commotion that a portion of Fifth Avenue had to be temporarily shut down by New York City police.

Several hundred customers (or fans, depending how you look at it) lined up in front of the store for hours just to be among the first to purchase the hard-to-find bras. Many of the men in attendance weren't necessarily there to buy a bra, instead they came to meet Klum and maybe get an autograph or photo. Sorry, guys; she's married.

A few of the men actually purchased the bra for their girlfriends or wives. "We like guys who aren't scared to buy lingerie," Klum said to one of the male customers.
The bra was introduced in limited release by testing it in key stores across the country. Even though it was not previously marketed or advertised, the bra sold out in every major city across the country, from New York to Los Angeles. Currently, the waiting list at Victoria's Secret New York stores is well over a 1,000.

Spokesperson Marnie McLaughlin explained that this is a first for any Victoria's Secret product. "This is far and away our top selling bra of all time," she said.

The bra's cups have water and oil-filled pockets that warm and contour to a woman's body. "It definitely enhances you for one cup size up. So if you're "B" (cup size) your turn out to be a "C" with this bra," Klum told CBS Early Show anchor Bryant Gumbel when she appeared on the show Wednesday morning. "So it's nice, you get a little bit of cleavage," she added.

And how does Heidi personally feel about the bra? "The most natural bra I've ever worn," Klum told CBSNews.com's Zoy Avgerinos at her Victoria's Secret store appearance Thursday. The bra is guaranteed not to leak unless, of course, it is punctured with a sharp object, such as the pencil used by one late night talk-show host Tuesday. Hopefully most people won't have to deal with anything quite like that.
