Happy Birthday John Paul II

It's the pope's 79th birthday Tuesday, but he's not making a big deal out of it.

John Paul II is pretty much treating it as any other day -- up before dawn, going from one meeting to another.

He welcomed Germany's chancellor to the Vatican, and accepted a birthday gift of an 18th-century Dutch print. The two then went on to talk for nearly half-an-hour -- in German, without a translator.

The pope looked fit Tuesday, though speculation continues about his health. That includes rumors of Parkinson's disease, which the Vatican won't confirm.
