Hailey Dunn Missing: Mom of missing Texas cheerleader to appear in court on obstruction charges
(CBS/AP) COLORADO CITY, Texas - Billie Jean Dunn, mother of the West Texas middle school cheerleader Hailey Dunn who was reported missing almost three months ago, is set to appear in court Friday on charges of hindering apprehension and prosecution, possession of dangerous drugs and obstructing justice.
Officials say Dunn was picked up by deputies at her home Thursday night and was being held overnight in the Mitchell County Jail on misdemeanor charges.
Officials wouldn't elaborate on the charges, and calls to Mitchell County Sheriff Patrick Toombs weren't returned.
Dunn reported 13-year-old Hailey missing on Dec. 28. The mother's former live-in boyfriend previously was named a person of interest in the case.
Both Shawn Adkins and Billie Dunn deny any role in Hailey's disappearance.
