Gun Rap For Eminem

Rapper Eminem was charged Tuesday with two felony weapons counts stemming from a weekend fight which prosecutors say started after the Grammy winner caught another man kissing his wife.

Eminem is charged with one count of carrying a concealed weapon and one count of assault with a deadly weapon, said Macomb County Prosecutor Carl Marlinga.

The 27-year-old performer, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, is expected to be arraigned Wednesday in Warren District Court.

The fight happened about 2:20 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of a bar in Warren, the rapper's hometown.

Marlinga said Eminem hit John Guerra over the head with a gun after he saw Guerra kissing his wife, Kimberly Mathers, 27. The gun was not loaded, he said.

Eminem lawyer Peter Peacock did not return messages left Tuesday.

In February, Eminem won a Grammy for best rap album for his debut release, "The Slim Shady LP," and another Grammy for best rap solo performance for the hit single "My Name Is."

Eminem has the No. 1 album in the country, The Marshall Mathers LP.
