Great Customer Service, Enstrom's Toffee Edition

This story, like Enstrom's Almond Toffee, is way too good not to share.

Enstrom's Almond ToffeeCurious about the ironclad nature of Enstrom's unconditional guarantee, a shopper sent the following note to the Grand Junction, Colo., confectioner:

Your Almond Toffee does not work well as a tax preparer. Per your unconditional guarantee, I formally request my monies to be refunded at the earliest possible date to [address]. Best regards, Bobby.
An Enstrom's customer service rep responded cheerfully, "We would be more then happy to replace the box of toffee as stated in our guarantee. Would you please provide your order number or customer number so I can do so?"

Well, bravo. And bravo to Bobby, who didn't take Enstrom's up on the refund offer after all.

As a Consumerist.com commenter noted, "Why did I look at the website? Sure, I wanted to read this unconditional guarantee, but now I have a toffee problem... Oh, cruel world."

As many on the thread mentioned, Enstrom's can afford to make such a guarantee because its product is consistently exceptional. Enstrom's Toffee is made by hand from creamery butter, cane sugar, California almonds and Guittard chocolate. No mention of accounting expertise or is included in the ingredient statement, but no doubt it would make the chore of tax preparation less unpleasant.

Enstrom's Web site suggests that the $18.95 one-pound box is the perfect size for yourself.
