Goodling Slams McNulty, Says She Never Talked To Rove Or Miers About Prosecutor Firings
Monica Goodling, a former senior aide to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, is testifying right now before the House Judiciary Committee about her knowledge regarding the U.S. attorney firing scandal, and she has offered a statement that directly contradicts statements made by Deputy Attorney General Paul McNulty.
Goodling also denied having any discussions with Karl Rove and Harriet Miers, White House Deputy Chief of Staff and former White House counsel, regarding the firings, although she said "several offices" within the White House were aware of the terminations before they occurred.
