Good Samaritan helps man chase dog, but gets into accident

The pursuit of a Jack Russell Terrier like those pictured above led to an unfortunate accident for a woman in Huntingdon Township, Pa. on Monday, Dec. 5, 2011 Wikipedia

(CBS/AP) IRWIN, Pa. - Under the heading of 'no good deed goes unpunished' is this story about a western Pennsylvania woman who pulled over her car to help a man chase his runaway dog...but who then was struck by her own car when she forgot to put it in park.

Ouch!

North Huntingdon Township police aren't releasing the name of the woman who saw an elderly man chasing his dog, a Jack Russell terrier, and pulled over to help him about 9:45 a.m. Monday.

She stopped on an uphill grade, though, and when she forgot to put the vehicle car in park the Good Samaritan had some bad luck, as the car rolled toward her and the door hit her. Police say she was flown to a Pittsburgh-area hospital with chest pains, but it wasn't immediately clear if they were heart-related or from the door's impact.

Police say the terrier had chewed through its leash but was found a short time later.

Sort of a happy ending.
