HITS:
Yalof-Schwartz said her favorite look on the red carpet was Drew Barrymore's Versace dress.

"She was numero uno for me. Her dress was magical, dramatic, vintage, old Hollywood glamour in a new way."

Barrymore's nude, Asymmetrical, Atelier Versace gown featured ruffle-burst-like detailing at shoulder and hip. She also wore Jimmy Choo "Zena" platform sandals, a Roger Vivier clutch and Lorraine Schwartz jewels (diamond earrings and beige moonstone ring).

Kate Hudson also caught Yalof-Swartz's eye. Hudson's dress, she said, was almost like a sculpture.

"I liked the way she wore white," Yalof-Swartz said, "She really stood out and that's what a movie star's suppose to do."

Hudson's dress was a Marchesa, satin strapless gown with a structured/architectural bustier top that had ruffles under a flat, structured panel. The dress had a column-style bottom. Hudson's bracelet was from the Stephen Russell Contemporary Collection.

"I also loved her tassle earrings," Hudson said. "As far as accessories for this year's red carpet, it wasn't about the accessories, it was all about the dress, we didn't really see big bold pieces but we did see lots of beautiful dresses."

Emily Blunt's pink tulle dress with a sweetheart neckline was also a top pick.

"It was the kind of dress everyone wants to wear," Yalof-Swartz said. "She was wearing Dolce and Gabbana. Elegant sexy and chic. She resembled a big trend on the red carpet this year. She was one of many ladies wearing muted colors in a range of peach to champagne."

As for trends, asymmetrical dresses, ruffles and metallic and gold were top looks. Yalof-Swartz shared her favorite trend looks:

ASYMMETRICAL:

Marion Cotillard wore a Dior gown of deep teal. The satin, asymmetrical column dress featured a peek-a-boo, black, lace "lingerie" underlay from top to bottom. The dress also had a high, front slit.

Ginnifer Goodwin's bright blue Vionnet dress was draped. The knee-length dress had a fitted waist.

Maggie Gyllenhaal wore an RM dress by Roland Mouret. Yalof-Swartz said the actress stood out in the silk salmon mermaid-cut gown. The dress sported delicate, one-shoulder detail with artsy embellishments. Sleek diamond drop earrings and a matching bracelet completed her elegant look.

RUFFLES:

Chloe Sevigny wore a strapless, silver lilac organza Valentino gown, lined with ruffles across top, and sides.

Anna Kendrick wore a Marchesa gown. White/silver in color, the asymmetrical gown sported a ruffled neckline and silver metallic "branch" detailing throughout.

Sophia Vergara wore a grey/red Carolina Herrera gown. The strapless dress had a back bow and ruffles; She wore Chopard jewelry.

METALLIC AND GOLD:

Jennifer Garner wore a pale silver and lilac Versace that was beaded. The column gown had an asymmetrical neckline.

Anna Paquin wore a Stella McCartney gold beaded gown with a plunging v-shaped neckline. Paquin accessorized with vintage jewels from Stephen Russell.

Toni Collette was stunning in her shimmering gold deep-V Elie Saab gown, Neil Lane diamond drop earrings, diamond ring and diamond bracelets.

But who had a fashion miss at the Golden Globes?

MISSES:

Mariah Carey wore a black bandage Herve Leger dress by Max Azria.

"It was borderline inappropriate," Yalof-Swartz said. "Overexposure is a Glamour 'Don't.'"

Patricia Arquette, Yalof-Swartz said, looked like she was captured by a fisherman's net, like she was dragged in by the sea.
